The design vision is to recompose a path made of singularities that recall and reinforce each other: to transform the suggestions into a concrete and fascinating reality to reveal once again the powerful echo of a past that is anything but static. For a valid approach to the complexity of the project, the keys to interpretation must be multiple – historical, archaeological, landscape, urban, anthropological, economic, social. Observing the landscape, understanding it in all its components and richness, making it known through an operation of clarification of these contents, is the only way to try to patch up the fragments of those realities for years forgotten, waiting to find their identity and dignity, to lay the foundations of a future change.

The Via Appia, besides being the protagonist of the redevelopment project, is also the spine of a system of small towns and landscapes, of local economies, long forgotten. The immersion in the landscape and nature through forms of cyclopedonal mobility opens up a new cross-section of the country to the traveler: a modern, responsible, safe and sustainable tourism fully integrated and complementary to the traditional tourist offer. From this point of view, improving the usability of the route means not only improving the physical infrastructure, the route itself, but also making an integrated travel experience possible.
