The Riyadh Season is the biggest event that ever took place in Saudi Arabia.
It is conceived as a huge entertainment festival that took places in Riyadh from 15 October 2019 until the end of March 2020. It is part of 12 festivals organized by Saudi Entertainment Authority and the first one to be open for international Visitors.
This series of Festivals in Saudi Arabia is known as Saudi-Seasons. It is a new entertainment concept in Saudi Arabia where a big festival takes place every couple of months in a different Saudi city.
It started in the Eastern Region in early 2019 and went to different locations later. The festival highlights the unique characteristics of the host city so that people can have a different experience in each festival. It also has many other activities from all over the world, and in major festivals as Jeddah season or Riyadh Season the festival would also have huge musical concert with popular international music performers in addition to local ones.

Saudi Seasons are part of “Quality of Life Program” which is one of 13 programs of Saudi Vision 2030 that aims to increase the quality of life in the kingdom. It is one of many socio-economic reformations the nation Is taking towards realizing the Saudi Vision 2030.
Studio Costa Architecture has been selected to operate in 2 Zones (Al Murabba and Boulevard) as Design Manager, Quality controller and site assistant.
We designed and built almost 40 pop-up restaurants in 3 months, coordinating with brands, contractors, consultants and suppliers.
The big challenge was to capture the real soul of the best restaurants of the world and recreate them in the very different context of Saudi Arabia, giving to the customers the best, high end experience.
In the Al Murabba zone, the world of Fine Dining came to king Abdulaziz Historical Center. In the heart of Riyadh, in a place full of history and enchantment, 32 Michelin starred restaurants rotated into 8 structures.

All the spaces were studied to recreate the ambience of the original restaurant, but with a touch of Saudi charm.
In the Boulevard zone, spread over 400,000 sqm, all kind of activities can be found, including opening parade, outdoor cinema, and a number of sports, music and entertainment activities, as well as a variety of restaurants. The Boulevard also includes three theaters, hourly musical fountain shows and firework shows demonstrated on a regular basis.
Studio Costa Architecture designed and built 7 restaurants in this zone, collaborating with international brands to define brand identity, concept, details, and supervising the whole process till the opening.
