As a concept for a bespoke luxury villa in the Palm Islands – Dubai, Studio Costa Architecture came up with a design where the villa is skillfully placed within its landscape context. An ‘open’ design is achieved; at the same time privacy from the neighbors is guaranteed by the two wing blocks that frame an ideal panoramic view to the golf course and the Dubai skyline beyond. The primary view is towards the sea and an infinity pool is placed such that it has a direct dialogue with the beach. The concept design focuses on a contemporary villa characterized by sinuous lines and uses essential but precious materials.

The internal space is distributed over three levels with a roof top and a basement level which houses a cinema room and a private spa. On the ground floor, there is a main living area with a fireplace and majlis, and the dining area. On the upper floors, there are private spaces for the family and the bedrooms. The roof top has a solarium and a swimming pool. The “water fall” system is very sensual and interesting, with water spilling out from the roof top pool of the master bedroom to the infinity pool in the garden, achieveing a visual continuity with the sea through the aid of a sophisticated flowing water system.

The meticulous choice of materials and their urbane combinations give the house an elegant and luxury tone unique in its kind, so as to impress the customer. Light plays a fundamental role- large windows allow plenty of natural light, and wherever necessary this is complimented with artificial lighting to give a comfortable setting that enhances the materials and the atmosphere.
